Claude Monet (1840–1926)

Claude Monet was more than a founder of Impressionism—he was its heartbeat. Born in Paris and raised in Le Havre, Monet spent his life chasing light across water, through fog, and over fields of wildflowers. His canvases did not simply depict landscapes; they captured fleeting moments in time, painted with such sensitivity that nature seemed to breathe within them.
